Obviously, day eight is missing…so let us move on! We arrived in the beautiful city of Verona. I am feeling worse, boo hoo to me! So, Mi Duca is making sure that we are not trudging around a lot, however, like a homing pigeon, he guided us right to La Casa de Julietta!

The brick bldg. on the left with the arched entryway

Leads to a wall covered with the infamous “Letters to Juliette.”

As you enter the beautiful courtyard, voila! A lovely statue of Juliette awaits!

And, if you can get past all the folks…you can get up to it!

I opted for the easier-to-get-to inside view…

I took my time meandering through her lovely house

Envisioning the ball that took place on that fated night.

and then, like every other woman in the known Universe…the Hopeful…

And the hope-filled…

I took my moment…as my Romeo…

continued to shoot...

and shoot...

and shoot!

OMG! Just shoot me now!

Wasn’t Juliette something like…12…LOL! But with the advent of Duke into my life, even I found out that it’s never too late!

Verona was a short visit even though there was so much to see, but then, that is true of all of Italy. So much beauty, antiquity, architecture, not to mention…glorious, amber countryside.

However, this log is a shortened version...we’re hoping that I will feel better tomorrow as we meander down to Florence.

In the meantime, it’s off to the square for a wonderful Italian meal with wine, Mi Duca

And well, FOOD, glorious food!!!

Then back to our beautiful room and some R.E.S.T. ZZzzzzzz
